This gorgeous former imperial residence is located on a hill away fr om the city. The palace was a beloved summer house for many Russian monarchs, and a residence for official events until the revolution of 1917. The palace is quite impressive from the outside, but the inside is even more astonishing.

See the magnificent baroque staterooms brimmed with golden decorations, unique mosaic parquet floors and, of course, the Amber Room. You will hear fascinating stories about the origins of the Amber Room, and many versions of its mysterious disappearance. The Golden Enfilade of the State Rooms restored after the WWII perfectly recreates the atmosphere of the royal life in the 18^th century.
