Discover the celebrated Grand Palace of Peterhof, a former summer residence of Russian tsars. Nestled on the brow of a hill, this opulent mansion overlooks the Baltic Sea, deserving the name of a “seaside paradise”.

Your professional and friendly guide will meet you at “Admiralteyskaya” metro station with a TJ Travel sign. On the way to the residence you will hear the most fascinating facts and myths about the Royal family, historical background of Peterhof, and modern life. As you listen to your guide, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery and old mansions along the Old Peterhof road. When you arrive to your beautiful destination, the guide will lead you through the impressive grounds to the heart of Peterhof, the Grand Palace.

Taking a tour through the building, you will see how fashion and interiors changed through different times, as one monarch took over from another. Furniture pieces, unique porcelain sets and tsars’ personal belongings add to the atmosphere that almost takes you back in time. You will learn about everyday life of the court, fates of Russian emperors, and how the palace survived the World War II. One of the oldest original interiors dates back to the beginning of the 18th century. It’s decorated with unique oak panels and displays some of the few personal items of Peter the Great, the founder of St. Petersburg and Peterhof.

After you’ve enjoyed the beauty and elegance of the palace, we will take a stroll along the royal garden and then head back to the city on our comfortable vehicle.
