Your professional guide will greet you at “Admiralteyskaya” metro station with a TJ Travel sign. The tour will start in a comfortable vehicle on our way to a lovely town of Pavlovsk. As we drive away from St. Petersburg, your guide will be happy to chat about life in Russia and give you some background information about the Pavlovsk residence that was turned into a museum after the revolution of 1917.

Pavlovsk Palace, which served as a home for Russian monarchs for about 150 years, is one of the best examples of classical style architecture. The palace is named after Paul I who had spent years waiting to become a Russian tsar, but whose reign lasted only for 4 years, 4 months and 4 days. His beloved summer home was turned into an imperial residence as soon as he ascended to the throne at the end of the 18th century. As you walk through the male and female quarters of the palace, you will see European decorative art treasures thoroughly selected by Paul and his wife Maria. Admire the stunning pieces of art: a rare series of French tapestries depicting Don Quixote, the unique Henri Jacob furniture set, a 64-piece Sévres toilet set presented to the Romanovs by “the Sun King”, Louis XVI, a miniature ivory temple, and many more.

After you’ve enjoyed the beauty of the palace, we’ll invite you to board a mini-train or an electric cart and take a fun 30-minutes ride through the highlights of the park: the Temple of Friendship, the Rose Pavilion, the Dairy, Rossi Pavilion, and many others. When we finish this unusual garden tour, we will take a drive back to the original meeting point.
